Our Story
Back in 2015, our Co-Founder and Managing Director (Albert) started noticing car wrapping everywhere. It was there all over social media. One fateful Saturday, he went to a local automotive store and saw some wrapping film for sale. Right there and then, he decided to give it a shot. He went home and called on his sibling to provide him with a hand. Little did they know that the 4 hours of wrapping amongst three persons was the start of something bigger than themselves.
Right after then, our co-founder knew that he wanted to get into the industry. So, he decided to quit his full-time job and apply for unpaid training.
Luckily, one shop was willing to train him in exchange for free labour. During those two months of training, he picked up some basic techniques! After that, he just kept getting better with each period of practice.
One year into car wrapping, one of his close friends asked if he could wrap his car. He couldn’t say ‘no’ to an opportunity. So, he got the job, and since then, he kept on getting calls. Soon, he needed a hand. The months that followed saw him training his brother, who also decided to quit his job. They both pursued excellence in the craft, and there we are today!
Four years later, our Co-founder’s cousin asked him if he could also get trained. Yes! Extra hands were always needed. Cris and AJ have always brought up the idea of opening our garage. But more courage was required to start a business. Then, in 2021, after years of working on several persons’ cars and out of other people’s garages, we now have a place to call
our home – Project Hiraya.
